Abstract

The authors resume that the results from this retrospective study by evaluation of treatment protocols give evidence to the ab- sence of prohibited acupuncture points during pregnancy. There was no evidence of the existence of prohibited points in clinical tests of all points during all stages of pregnancy and the indications for use under scrutiny.

The elevated number of patients (n = 5.885) as well as the re- sults lead to conclude without doubt that there is no evidence to support the traditional doctrine of prohibited points during pregnancy.
